Calorie Shifting

There are many names for the calorie shifting diet and this hub will tell you a little bit about the diet as well as provide information about where you can get more info.

This diet plan can also be referred to by many as the zig zag diet as well as Idiot Proof Diet. There is a lot of buzz about it and you can purchase information on how to follow it through the widely marketed program

"Fat Loss 4 Idiots".

The goal of this dieting plan is to teach you a way to safely trick your metabolism so that it doesn't adjust to habitual eating and will continue to operate in a frenzy; breaking down and digesting yor food fast so you can lose weight and maintain a new healthier, slimmer you.

How Do You Trick Your Metabolism?

Our bodies by nature adapt quickly to new scenarios. When we reduce our caloric intake, our bodies burn energy reserves. The trick according to most is to burn more than you consume. There are many ways that fad diets suggest you do this including the Negative Calorie Diet. Our bodies burn a pound for every 3500 calories that we go over our reserves with.

A lot of folks discover that when they change their caloric intake, they lose weight rapidly but all of a sudden, the weight loss stops and this is what is commonly known as the plateau. But with the zig zag or calorie shifting diet plan where calories are shifted around continuously the results are that this is said to trick your metabolism so it cannot anticipate how much calories are coming and therefore it can remain high. When our metabolism slows down, it's more difficult to achieve weight loss.

Get Support With Your Diet Plan

Various plans are in existence including through websites, videos and books. You can even join a site with an automatic menu generated to help you plan for your days when you will be taking in high calories versus taking in low calories. One of the benefits to the zig zag or calorie shifting method is that you don't feel deprivation because you are not going for weeks on end without any treats which can lead to falling off the wagon.

The down side to zig zag eating is that you could have a difficult time if you try to go too low on your low cal days. Some dieters get over zealous and try to drop their caloric intake so drastically that they impact their health and well being.

If you're interested, you can learn more about this method of dieting and read success stories and diet reviews of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots program or calorie shifting in general but whatever you choose to do, make informed decisions always about your health. Take care with your hydration and potassium levels.

Make Your Health A Priority

Anyone dieting on a regular basis should take care to monitor their vitamin intake and consider using a food journal to determine if there are any gaps (there's information about free calorie counters on http://cerealdieter.com) and consider taking a multivitamin.

That's great news! It worked for me as well. I should've drank more water on it and that probably would've gotten me to 9 pounds but without doing 8-10 glasses of water a day I did still reach 7.5 pounds. I'm getting ready to do round two. It's nice that the product was a lifetime membership so I don't have to pay for it again, lol.

Hi all, I used to zigzag my calories when I was 108pounds. I lost weight and became 99pounds. But somehow I got greedy cuz I lost weight and started eating more than what my body required and so I began gaining back all my weight and even more than that. I am now standing at 5feet2inches, currently at 110pounds. I can't seem to lose anymore weight even if I zigzag my calories. I exercise 4days a week, & the duration is between 4 to 6hours. Other than the 4days of exercising, I do go out with my friends and walk about, just hangin out with them on the other days. How much should I eat a day exactly? I use 1800calories as a baseline. Btw I'm a female and 15 dis year.

I believe avoiding ready-made foods may be the first step to help lose weight. They will taste beneficial, but processed foods contain very little vitamins and minerals, making you consume more to have enough electricity to get through the day. If you're constantly eating these foods, changing to grain and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more electricity while ingesting less. Good blog post.
